Sitchin dated the Great Flood to about 13,000 BCE. It was caused by the gravitational effects of Nibiru's approach, which triggered massive tidal waves and the melting of ice caps.

The Cause

The flood was not a random natural disaster — it was a cyclical event tied to Nibiru's orbit. Enlil used the approaching flood as an opportunity to destroy humanity, but Enki saved them by warning Ziusudra (Noah).

The Survivors

• Ziusudra / Utnapishtim — The flood hero
• A boat was built containing humans and animals
• After the flood, the boat landed on Ararat

The Aftermath

The Anunnaki regrouped after the flood and re-established civilization. The "kingship" was lowered from heaven again at Kiš.
