Planet Nine (Planet Nine)¶
In 2016, astronomers Konstantin Batygin and Michael E. Brown proposed the existence of a ninth planet in the outer solar system.
The Hypothesis¶
- Neptune-sized planet
- Orbit: 10,000–20,000 years
- Distance: 200–800 AU from the Sun
- Evidence: Perturbations in Kuiper Belt objects
