Planet Nine (Planet Nine)¶
In 2016, astronomers Konstantin Batygin and Michael E. Brown proposed the existence of a ninth planet in the outer solar system.
The Hypothesis¶
- Neptune-sized planet
- Orbit: 10,000β20,000 years
- Distance: 200β800 AU from the Sun
- Evidence: Perturbations in Kuiper Belt objects
Comparison with Nibiru¶
| Feature | Planet Nine | Nibiru (Sitchin) |
|---|---|---|
| Size | Neptune-sized | Earth-sized |
| Orbit | 10,000β20,000 years | 3,600 years |
| Evidence | Gravitational perturbations | Sumerian texts |
| Scientific Status | Hypothetical | Rejected |
