Mesoamerican Religions¶
Zecharia Sitchin devoted significant attention to Mesoamerican civilizations in his book The Lost Realms. He argued that the Olmecs, Mayans, and Aztecs preserved traditions brought by Marduk and other Anunnaki refugees.

The Calendars¶
The Mayan Long Count calendar, with its cycles of 5,125 and 26,000 years, was seen by Sitchin as a version of the Anunnaki timekeeping system.
