Monatomic Gold¶
Sumerian name: AN.ZA.GAR (πππ») β "substance of life" / also mentioned as SHEM (π§)
Monatomic gold (also known as white powder gold, ORMUS, or m-state gold) is a theoretical substance that some alternative researchers have connected to Zecharia Sitchin's account of the Anunnaki gold mining operations. The theory proposes that the Anunnaki were not mining ordinary gold for its monetary or decorative value, but were extracting monatomic gold β a substance with extraordinary properties.
What is Monatomic Gold?¶
Monatomic gold refers to gold atoms that have been reduced to a single-atom state (not bonded to other atoms). In this state, gold is said to exhibit:
- Superconductivity at room temperature
- The ability to levitate or "float" in a magnetic field
- Enhancement of human cognitive abilities
- Anti-aging properties
- The appearance of a white powder rather than yellow metal
Sitchin and Monatomic Gold¶
Sitchin himself did not extensively write about monatomic gold. The connection was developed primarily by later researchers, particularly David Hudson and Laurence Gardner, who integrated their own theories with Sitchin's narrative.
However, Sitchin's work provided the foundation:
- The Gold Mission β Sitchin argued that the Anunnaki came to Earth specifically for gold
- Atmospheric Repair β The gold was needed to create a "shield" around Nibiru to repair its damaged atmosphere
- The Chemistry β The gold was processed into a fine powder form for use as a reflective aerosol
The Connection¶
Proponents of the monatomic gold theory argue:
"The gold the Anunnaki sought was not ordinary gold. It was the 'sheen' or 'shine' of the gods β monatomic gold, which when consumed, conferred supernatural abilities."
- The Sumerian texts refer to the "food of the gods" which was a "white bread" or "white powder" β possibly monatomic gold
- The biblical "manna" from heaven was a white powder that appeared miraculously β possibly the same substance
- The "udders" or "food of life" mentioned in Sumerian texts were sources of this substance
- The African gold mines were not producing ordinary gold ingots but refined powder
