Gnosticismus (Gnosticism)¶
Gnosticism was a religious movement in the early Christian era that emphasized secret knowledge (gnosis) as the path to salvation. Some parallels between Gnostic teachings and Sitchin's Anunnaki narrative are noteworthy.
Gnostic Parallels¶
| Gnostic Concept | Anunnaki Parallel |
|---|---|
| The Demiurge (lesser creator god) | Enlil β the stern commander |
| The Archons (rulers of the material world) | The Anunnaki |
| Secret knowledge saved from the creator | The ME β hidden wisdom |
| The "alien God" beyond the Demiurge | Anu β the distant king of Nibiru |
| The serpent as a giver of knowledge | Enki β the wise serpent god |
Sitchin's View¶
Sitchin noted that Gnostics preserved the idea that the creator of the material world (the Demiurge) was not the supreme God β a concept that aligns with his reading of Enlil as a lesser (though powerful) being compared to Anu.
