The site Tellinger calls Adam’s Calendar sits on a ridge in Mpumalanga province, South Africa. It consists of a series of standing stones arranged in a circular pattern. The stones are dolomite. Some weigh several tons. They are placed with astronomical precision.

The calendar alignment. The central stones align to the constellation Orion as it rose on the eastern horizon at the spring equinox approximately 75,000 years ago. This dating is based on precessional calculations — the same method used to date the Giza pyramids to 10,500 BCE. If the alignment is intentional, the site is the oldest astronomical observatory on Earth by a factor of 10.

The physical markers. The site includes stone carvings that Tellinger identifies as calendrical markers: a stone shaped like the Orion constellation, a carved block oriented to sunrise at the equinox, and a phallic stone aligned to the solstice sunrise. Mainstream response: the stones are natural formations. The shapes are coincidental. The alignments are accidental.

The shadow alignments. On specific dates, shadows cast by the standing stones align with carved markers in the surrounding rock. The precision of these alignments — to within single degrees — argues against accidental positioning. A natural formation would not produce accurate solar calendar shadows on the equinox.

The monolith. A 2-meter stone at the center of the complex is carved to produce a distinct shadow pattern at the winter solstice. The carving is not natural. The edges are too precise. The geometry is too deliberate. Tellinger identifies it as the central calendrical marker for the entire complex.

2. The Lost City of ENKI

Tellinger identifies the Mpumalanga stone circle complex as the remains of the city Sitchin called ENKI’s settlement in the Edin — the headquarters of the African gold-mining operation.

The scale supports the claim. 10 million stone circles spread across an area larger than any known ancient city. This was not a human settlement. This was an industrial complex. The population required to build and operate 10 million processing units would exceed the population of modern South Africa. Only an advanced civilization — or a non-human labor force — could have built it.

The water channels. Thousands of kilometers of stone-lined channels connect the circles. These channels are not roads. They are too narrow for transport. They are not irrigation. They do not lead to agricultural fields. They are engineered to direct water flow. Tellinger’s hypothesis: the channels created a water-based resonance system. Flowing water generated acoustic energy. Acoustic energy powered processing technology. The Anunnaki used sound — not fire, not electricity — as their primary energy source.

The gold evidence. Southern Africa contains the world’s largest gold deposits. The Witwatersrand Basin has produced 50,000 tons of gold — half of all gold ever mined on Earth. Tellinger’s most radical claim: the Anunnaki used sound as their primary technology for construction, mining, and energy generation.

The builders of Great Zimbabwe are said to have “sung the stones into place.” The Dogon people of Mali describe visitors who used sound to lift objects. These traditions are consistent with Sitchin’s interpretation of Sumerian texts describing stones being “called” into position.

The evidence from the circles. The stone circles produce measurable acoustic properties. Sound generated in one circle resonates in adjacent circles connected by channels. The channels function as waveguides. The entire complex may have operated as a distributed acoustic energy system.

The evidence from modern science. Levitation by sound is not impossible. Acoustic levitation has been demonstrated in laboratory conditions. Objects can be suspended in standing sound waves. The energy required for construction-scale levitation is orders of magnitude larger than what modern science has achieved. But it is not physically impossible. It is technologically unavailable — to us.

Adam’s Calendar vs. Official Science

Mainstream archaeology has three responses to Adam’s Calendar:

1. Ignore it. Most archaeologists have never heard of Adam’s Calendar. It does not appear in textbooks. It is not taught in universities. It is not discussed at conferences. The largest concentration of ancient stone structures on Earth is invisible to the discipline that studies ancient structures.

2. Redate it. Some archaeologists acknowledge the stone circles but date them to 500-1,500 years ago. They attribute the circles to Bantu-speaking farmers who built cattle enclosures. The problem: cattle enclosures do not require astronomical alignment. They do not require acoustic engineering. They do not require 10 million identical units connected by channels.
